Program Description
Increasing numbers of people are volunteering with Kenosis Foundation following a period, or even many years, spent in full-time employment. There are great opportunities for Career Break volunteers to use their skills as well as gain work experience in new and exciting areas of work. Program areas of focus include: education, environmental awareness, healthcare, micro-empowerment, orphan/street children care, and more. Considering a career break? You’re in good company! Many people take career breaks and 38% of our volunteers are over the age of 25. Whatever your reasons for taking a career break, volunteering will provide purpose to your travels, allow you to explore places off the beaten track and let you live among the communities you are helping.
We also offer meaningful short-term group trips for professionals over the age of 50. These are designed for career breakers looking to make an impact on communities in developing countries, but who only have a short break in which to do so. Each group trip has set dates, lasts for two weeks, and follows a set schedule.
