Program Description

In this program volunteers are teaching English and computers in school going students and youths in rural or urban city based communities in Bangalore city or rural district of Krishnagiri, Tamilnadu in India. The volunteers will be providing them with the skills needed to improve their quality of life. The volunteers also will encourage the girls to apply for jobs that will set them on a path to leading full and productive lives.

The volunteer classes don't have any curriculum, volunteer are free to teach anything that will make the girls to think, speak and read. This help will not only change the lives of the females you teach - it will also considerably change your own life, as well as the lives of the future little girls who will be provided with better guidance from their mothers as a result of your help.


• Teaching Projects - Teaching English to women and children
• IT Teaching - Instructing basic IT skills and technology skills
• Childcare Projects - Caring for infants and children, including street children
• After school program and Summer camps - Help local teachers and staff with after school courses and summer camps
• Renovating local institutions and spaces – Help with the renovation of local buildings in order to create clean, bright learning spaces
• Community Health - Conduct community health visits/community health awareness training
• Women's Empowerment - Work towards improving women's rights in the community (including job skills training)


• There are no qualifications for this volunteer position. All you need is a genuine care for children. The age minimum is 18+ years old.
• However, the minimum qualification is high school, basic English communication & Teaching skills, no language barrier, do not require any previous experience, if you have previous experience, can lead a project or a team. Its also very much impacts the project as you get immersed in the project.
