Program Description

My Year in China SWT (Study, Travel, Work) presents our Cultural Au Pair program that allows program participants to work in childcare while being immersed in the local culture. We have a flexible schedule that runs from 3, 6, or 12 months. During this time, you will reside with a local Chinese family. We carefully screen and match participants with the families that we believe will be best suited. Through this experience you will have the opportunity to teach, travel, study, and live within an authentic Chinese culture.

Our SWT program is comprehensive and geared towards maximizing your experience. You will be immersed in the local culture as you stay for free in a local home with rigorously-vetted Chinese families. You will have the chance to study Mandarin and Chinese culture through classes and in daily interactions. We also provide free excursions and activities, not to mention an international flight allowance and a generous monthly stipend. The start date is flexible and meant to work for you and the local family. This is a great option for gap years and for university students who are interested in working holiday options all year round.
