Volunteer in Pokhara-Nepal with AIAV
Program Description
This program provides an opportunity for you to work alongside local NGOs and community organizations that have positioned themselves well helping in the education, health, environment, construction, agriculture, caring for the orphans/disabled persons and women empowerment sectors. These organizations are always in need of skilled manpower or general help, whether it is regarding communications work, strategy work, fundraising or any other administrative work.
These placements may be located in an urban or rural setting.
The duties of the volunteers could include any of the following:
Teaching skills to the staff or to the community (any specific vocational skills or computer related skills, as required)
Proposal and report writing
Field work support in the areas of health and hygiene, agriculture, construction, environment, rehabilitation centre and education
Assisting with making websites and brochures for community organizations
Assisting with fundraising

Qualifications
* You should be fluent in English* At least high school diploma
* You must be 18 years old. Those under age 18 may attend age-appropriate projects with adult accompaniment.
* Provide an original or certified copy of a recent criminal background check (less than 1 year old), since you will potentially be dealing with minors

The program fee is paid directly to our in-country team. Since the locals seeking volunteers’ assistance simply do not have the means to care for the volunteers, you’re required to pay a program fee to cover:Airport pickup and drop-off
