Program Description
Ghana is known for its peaceful nature and warm hospitality. Aside from volunteering, you will be able to visit gorgeous beaches, historic sites and national parks, among other breathtaking sites.
We have great projects in Ghana for you to get involved with:
- Orphanage work: Many children have been abandoned due to the HIV/AIDS epidemic
- Teaching: Schools have inadequate teachers
- Healthcare: There are several serious challenges in the health sector such as malaria, HIV/AIDS, maternal and infant mortality, etc.
- Sports for social change: Sports teams in Ghana are often created to keep children in school, since the main requirement to be part of a team is to be attending school. Inspire children to stay in school and finish school through sports!
Depending on your skills and interests, you could do anything from public health education on HIV awareness, coaching a sports team, teaching English, assisting teachers with a variety of subjects, caring for orphans, helping kids with their homework to performing surgeries, among other projects.
