Participants of this program will spend their first week on the island of Santa Cruz, helping with conservation work and touring local attractions. San Cristobal Island will be home for the second week, as volunteers get the chance to work in another conservation station. The main tasks at this time will be the removal of invasive flora species and the planting of endemic plants, an exercise proven to benefit the surrounding environment immensely. There will also be the option to work on small community based projects throughout the island.
The third week is all about pleasure and relaxation; participants will travel to the stunning Isabella Island where they can unwind and enjoy tours with local guides, a visit to the Giant Tortoise Breeding Center, a trip to the Sierra Negra volcano, and a visit to Las Tintoretas Islet, in the hope of spotting white-tip sharks!
