Pop Up Medical Clinic

Program Description

Become a volunteer with the Love Support Unite Foundations Medical Outreach team and help us to provide medical treatment and advice for those who are underprivileged or remotely located and are in need of aid. Over 7000 people have been vaccinated by us and this was prior to the establishment of the pop up clinic.

The pop up clinic is staffed by an herbalist, nurse, and doctor and treats 2 villages with over 100 individuals. This programme was introduced by Hanna Basten, a volunteer in 2013, and we are interested in expanding this programme in 2014. To this end, we invite volunteers to assist with our efforts to provide aid to other remotely located villages who have minimal or no access to health care.

Highlights

We welcome teams of medics or individual volunteers
No previous experience needed to shadow Doctors local doctors
Volunteer with local herbalists and doctors to learn local skills
Graduated or student Nurses and Doctors provide a huge service
Translate western skills and knowledge
Educate villagers on common illness and prevention with a translator

Preference given to nurses and doctors or medical students.
