Program Description

The Media Coordinator supports the Marketing Manager in implementing all Media activities for WhizzKids United.
This includes but is not limited to:
Website
• Creating website content (Text, Image, Video etc) for the WhizzKids United website
• Regularly reviewing website content
• Updating team profiles on the website
• Working with team members in compiling stories for the website
o Blogs: min 1 per week
o News: when relevant stories arise
• Review success of website activities through Google Analytics
• Dealing with all website queries

Social Media
• Daily updates on WKU’s Facebook page
• Quick and reliable interaction with WKU supporters across all social media platforms (Likes, Comments, Shares, Retweets, Direct Messages etc)
• Regular usage of Twitter
• Growing WKU’s Youtube page
• Develop content as necessary
• Review success of Social Media activities through provided analysis Tools

Monthly Newsletter
• Compile list of stories for monthly newsletter in coordination with Marketing Manager/Country Director
• Writing stories for newsletter in cooperation with team members
• Dealing with all responses to newsletter
• Reviewing success of newsletter through analysis tools
o Suggest improvements where relevant and appropriate

Other Online Platforms
• Regularly review and update WKU’s profile on all online platforms
• Keep updated overview WKU’s profiles on other online platforms
• Deal with all queries regarding other online platforms

Qualifications

It is essential that the applicant:
• Has a good understanding of English, both written and spoken
• Be Proficiened in Microsoft Office (especially MS Word and Excel)
• Have excellent people skills
• Be highly motivated and with a good working attitude
• Ideally have an interest in football
• Be able to commit to 3 months to 1 year.

It is preferred that the applicant has:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline OR is currently enrolled in college/university studying a relevant subject
• Project management experience
• Good analytical skills
• Some experience in football Coaching
