Teach in Rural Thailand
Program Description
Volunteer to teach English in the North of Thailand; one of the countries most untouristed and traditional areas. Not only will you be able to volunteer in some of the poorest schools in the region, you will gain an invaluable cultural experience.
As a volunteer you will be:
Working in one of twenty selected target schools in the rural provinces
In general, teach in rural high schools with 500 - 2000 students, from twelve to eighteen years old.
Help the schools English teachers develop lessons for the classroom
Be expected to teach in the classroom 3 - 4 hours per day.

Highlights
This programme gives the volunteers a chance to fully immerse themselves in another culture. As a volunteer you will be staying in the most traditional part of Thailand, in a rural homestay. The Thais are fantastic hosts who take very good care of their guests. You also have the opportunity to use weekends to further deepen your knowledge of the Thai culture and go travelling with your hosts.Qualifications
You may apply if you meet at least six of these seven requirements:Have a College/University degree
Are at least twenty years (20) old
Have some teaching or volunteer experience
Don’t drink or smoke every day
Likeable personality and tidy appearance
Outgoing, creative, and independent
Willing to adapt to another culture
What`s Included
The cost for 1 month (or less than 1 month if you join for 2 weeks) is 395 GB pounds, 2 months is 530 GB pounds and 3 months is 665 GB pounds.All meals and accommodation while at your homestay will be covered by your host school.
