Program Description

If you are interested in developing the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in a variety of business professions and situations, consider joining the Business Programs at English in Paradise.

Our courses are both practical and comprehensive and cover essential aspects of business including using financial documents, computer skills, administrative duties, customer service interactions, effective communication, self-management, and working as a team.

Requirements for Admissions

Applications from students under 18 years of age will not be accepted by English in Paradise.

The minimum education level is Year 12 or an equivalent. Students must be fluent or highly competent in English with an IELTS score of 5.5 Those who do not fulfill these requirements will be expected to take an assessment exam with English in Paradise covering Numeracy, Literacy, and Language.

Program Outline
This course takes place from 8:30 AM to 7:30 Pm for 20 hours each week over the course of two days. The BSB20112 Certificate II in Business will be taught with an actual instructor for a period of 16 weeks. There are 4 weeks of holiday interspersed for a total program length of 20 weeks. New students are welcome each week except for public and schedule holidays.

Fees:

For each course: application fee $200
Certificate II: Tuition $1,700, Non tuition: materials $100; total = AUD $2,000

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Recognition of Prior Learning is the process of formal recognition for skills and knowledge gained through previous learning such as:
• Life experiences
• Previous formal learning
• Employment

You may be eligible for recognition of prior learning for part or all of your intended study, based on your previous experiences and learning. For more information regarding RPL and how to apply, please discuss this with the Administration team prior to enrolment.

Credit Transfer

You may be eligible for a credit transfer if you have previously undertaken training through a Registered Training Organisation. Credit transfer may be granted for one or more units or a full certificate level.

Three major factors need to be considered:
How current the qualification is, mapping to the current training, and if the training was undertaken with an Australian Registered Training Organisation.

If you think you may be eligible for a credit transfer you will need to provide the following:
A certified copy of the original statement of attainment and/or certificate is to be provided for a credit transfer
