Job Description

Ciji Primary school is a six-year private school based in Cixi City, and we’re looking for 2 foreign ESL teachers to join us as valued team members and excellent teachers. Our students are aged between 7 and 11, and you’ll be in charge of providing them with fantastic English lessons which are both interesting and educational.

Cixi city is packed with culture and history, and has recently been named as China’s 3rd highest city for county-level economic development competitiveness. Moreover, the location of Cixi city couldn’t be better, as it is surrounded by three of China’s major cities: Hangzhou, Shanghai, and Ningbo. Your Tasks:

• Teach English to students aged 7-11;
• Teach class sizes of 30-45;
• Create and teach lessons using a range of techniques and based on textbooks provided by the school;
• Get involved with the students and school life;
• Develop assignments and tests, as well as deliver them;
• Attend staff meetings in order to remain current about educational policies and special procedures.

Your Profile:

• Speaks English at an idiomatic level;
• A patient listener who is ready to encourage students to do their best;
• A lot of energy and love for mixing play and learning;
• A positive attitude with good organizational, presentation and teaching skills;
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of English speakers;

Foreign ESL Teacher Working Hours:
20 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Salary/Benefits

Foreign ESL Teacher Compensation:
• A Monthly salary between $1,900 – $2,100 USD (12,000 – 13,000 RMB), depending on qualifications and experience.

Foreign ESL Teacher Benefits:

Desired Skills and Experience

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent;
- At least three years of teaching Experience;
- Possess either a TESOL, TEFL, ESOL, or CELTA certificate.
