Job Description

The Hangzhou No.2 High School of Zhejiang Province is currently looking for 1 foreign ESL Instructor to work in the attached primary school.
As a school with a history of excellence, we are looking for excellent teachers who are looking to expand their teaching experiences and career.

ESL Instructors should be able to teacher a variety of lessons plans surrounding English listening and speaking, whilst also providing students with feedback. Course content should be adjusted to match the level of students. Familiarity with the Longman series of text books is preferred.

Your Tasks:

• Teach English to primary school students;
• Create and teach English listening and speaking lessons;
• Assesses students’ work and provide feedback;
• Maintain sufficient communication with Chinese English teachers, to fully understand the teaching requirements.

Your Profile:

• Speaks English at an idiomatic level;
• A positive attitude with good organizational, presentation, and teaching skills;
• An ability to communicate effectively with all levels of English speakers;
• An ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations;
• Familiarity with Longman series text books preferred;

ESL Instructor Working Hours:

- 20 working hours per week, including teaching hours.

Salary/Benefits

ESL Instructor Compensation:
• A monthly salary starting at $1,600 – $1,800 USD (10,000 RMB).

ESL Instructor Benefits:

- Free off-campus furnished accommodation (including utilities) with cooking facilities and a private bathroom OR $400 USD (2500 RMB) per month housing allowance;

Desired Skills and Experience

- Bachelor’s degree or above. A Master’s degree is preferred;
- At least three years teaching experience;
- Possess either a TESOL, TEFL, ESOL, or CELTA certificate is preferred;
- Other teaching certificates also looked upon favorably.
