Program Description
The Shree Rupa Jyoti School was one of the first schools EHN started working with because the Headmaster had a vision to provide a better level of education for his students a thing that all at EHN totally agree with. So over the last couple of years we have worked with the school painting, building and helping to improve the level of English for the children. And to do this we have been placing international volunteers here for the last couple of years. So if you are a teaching student or even qualified teacher and want to try your skills in a country & environment that is very different to your own then this is the place. You can build on our work helping the school through teaching, work with the local teachers or even try ideas of your own which you think may benefit them. Its a placement where the more you put into it the more you will receive back as everyone here is interested to working & learning from people from abroad.
Ideally you need to be a student or qualified teacher to work directly with the children in the classes but the school does allow others who bring specific talents in teaching or show an interest in teaching there. So when you apply please let our team know what are your skills so we can get the most of them.

Highlights
Its Nepal so the highlights are everywhere. But the part of your experience you will remember the most has to be the time you spend in the village at the placement. The combination of teaching, the students,, teachers and the beautiful surroundings will be a constant reminder of the wonderful experience you had while planning your next trip back to Nepal.Qualifications
Ideally you need to be either a student or qualified teacher to volunteer here but the school recognises the advantages for the children of having people with different skills. So if you have particular skills or knowledge or even interested in becoming a teacher then this project will be ideal for you. Please state your talents when applying and we can then work out the best way to use them to help the students there.Volunteer Types
