Description

ITA San Diego works in collaboration with Q International School. The latter provides international students from all around Latin America, the Middle East, Asia, and Europe with high quality, state-of-the-art ESL classes. Since we are located in the same building, our TEFL students will be able to gain firsthand, practical experience as ESL teachers in real ESL classrooms.
Most of our TEFL students look to teach abroad following their graduation from our course. Many of our graduates have never been to the country where they move to teach, and arriving as a resident in a new country can be very challenging. This is why our unique combination of TEFL class training and real practical teaching experience is so important. You arrive with the skills needed to perform your job, so you won’t need to worry about adapting to a new environment as well as a new job.
During the four weeks of your course with us, you will spend time in class learning teaching methodology, but you will also spend several hours through the week observing other ESL teachers in Q International School classrooms, talking with international students and ESL teachers about their experiences in learning and teaching English as a second language. Every Friday you will teach special classes designed by you to real international ESL students.
This combination of coursework, observations, interactions and real teaching experience will help you build confidence in yourself as well as prepare you for a new career.
