SPI Study Abroad
Program Description
SPI Study Abroad was founded in 1996 and aims to provide college credit for high school study abroad programs. These programs take place in China, Costa Rica, Italy, and France. Join SPI’s interactive and engaging language immersion courses to build experiences in global leadership while volunteering on service projects and exploring adventurous travel.
SPI programs are adept at combining challenging academics with immersive real life experience. Students will be placed at an accredited language institute or foreign university. Students will earn an official transcript that can be used as a petition to gain university credit. Program participants will be placed with a local and friendly homestay family. Students will live in smaller cities with ample opportunities to use their growing language skills as they explore the local community.

Highlights
Teens with minimal travel experience and those with extensive international travel experience are both welcome to join our SPI high school language immersion programs. Students with SPI will be immersed in the local culture and language as they share meals with a local homestay family, enjoy fascinating discussions with diverse friends, and explore new activities and sights.SPI stands out from other programs since our teachers and directors are engaged in ensuring the success of our students. Students will gain maturity and confidence as they adapt to living in a new environment while working through language barriers and culture shock. Our team is there to support our students every step of the way! University and high school teachers as well as native speakers make up our on-site staff and are eager to teach students. Students can rest assured of a welcoming and responsive staff that will guide them through learning a new language and culture.
