Program Description

Study abroad in Lyon and live in a city that is famous for its historical roots and cultural relevance. It was named as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1998 and houses monuments such as the Gallo-Roman Museum and Le Théàtre des Célestins. Cinema is a thriving part of the culture since Lyon natives, the Lumière brothers, were the creators of the first moving picture. There is a large film festival in Lyon that draws cinephiles, actors, and directors.

Lyon is situated in the lovely Rhône-Alpes region and is very near to Italy and Switzerland. You can also easily access Provence and Paris. France is a great country for students since there are many discounts and deals for students with train and plane tickets. There are two train stations and an airport in Lyon so that you can easily get away. There is also a robust student environment since there are four universities in Lyon with plenty of young individuals from across the globe.
