Program Description

Rather than spend a short summer session abroad, consider enrolling in our semester or yearlong program. You will be immersed in the local community for a longer time period. Study abroad in Accra, the capital of Ghana and enjoy the largest city in Ghana. It is a social, political, and economic hub that is bursting with culture and history. You will have plenty of opportunities to explore village communities, tasty cuisine, clubs, breathtaking beaches, and historically rich museums. There are a myriad of activities that you can engage with in the city and on campus as you are immersed in the local culture. Staying for a semester or yearlong program will allow you to establish deeper networks with the local community.

Accra is an impressive city with fairly reliable electricity and brand new shopping malls. There are a wide range of neighborhoods that also feature museums with traditional Ghanaian art, cinemas, and markets. Stevie Wonder even has a house in Accra. This is a musically dynamic city and will captivate all travelers.
