Program Description
The Middlebury - CMRS Oxford Humanities Program occupies St. Micheal's Hall, a nineteenth-century building in the center of Oxford, within a few minutes' walk of all facilities. This program includes reading seminars, supervised research courses, and Oxford-style one-on-one tutorials. Field trips within and outside Oxford are regularly organized as part of the curriculum.
Middlebury-CMRS students are Associate Members of Keble, one of Oxford's largest colleges, which is only a short walk from St. Michael's Hall. Through Keble, a wide range of activities are available to students. They can take meals in the dining hall, relax in the common room, and study in the Victorian library and reading rooms. They can join Keble clubs, such as the choir or drama society, and participate in a range of sports.
Middlebury-CMRS students also have access to Oxford's Bodleian Library, as well as opportunities to join university-wide student associations and interest groups. Throughout the semester, opportunities are offered for access to local events, museums, concerts, and theatrical performances, so that students can take full advantage of this culturally vibrant city. Although the courses focus on the humanities, the programme accepts students from all academic disciplines.

Middlebury C.V. Starr Schools Abroad - Program Reviews
The staff members at CMRS are very helpful and are dedicated to the success of each student. Their interest surpassed academic advisement and they were deeply aware of each student’s mental and physical wellness.
The CMRS program is perfectly structured to enable students to experience all parts of Oxford student life. The location is right in the heart of Oxford and makes interaction with the greater population quite easy. Social events were frequent both within CMRS and at Keble and the other Oxford schools.
I would recommend the CMRS program to anyone interested who is passionate about Medieval and literature studies as well as anyone interested in experiencing the Oxford system. Overall a very valuable experience.
