Program Description

We cover all manner of ecosystems in this practical intensive course. These lessons include sea grass beds, mangroves, coral reefs, muddy and sandy shores, coastal processes, and open oceans. We will instruct students on sand sieves, fishing techniques, plankton nets, scuba diving and much more. We are located in an environmentally rich area. Students will be taught to dive up to the advanced diver level and students will also learn how to conduct scientific exploration including marine conservation, experiments, and surveys.

This is an “A” level course that is the exact same as programs in colleges, international schools, and schools in the UK. This can be used as part of meeting entrance requirements for university since this is an internationally recognised course. The last weeks of the course will feature the exam, which are done during the same time frame as all other Cambridge exams. Results are released in August and will be marked by an examiner from Cambridge.

What`s Included

The Advanced Level Marine Science exam is internationally recognised by the Cambridge Exam Board. The course taught by TRACC is done as a single subject and is very intensive and completed in 12 weeks. The exam is taken at a fixed time each year and is overseen by Cambridge International moderators.

Course participants will be taught to dive up to the PADI Advanced Diver Certificate. Students will also be taught Marine lessons and practical daily diving tasks. Course costs include the exam fee, travel and transportation during the course as well as all food, drink and accommodation.
