Program Description
Join the classes offered by El Quetzal and improve your Spanish language abilities. We offer classes for beginner to advanced students. Our classroom is welcoming and supportive, so students will learn quickly.
These are intensive language courses that run for 4 to 5 hours each day from Monday to Friday. We can also accommodate your needs by adjusting your studies to fewer hours and a different price.
Students will be able to learn about the local culture in Guatemala while being able to effectively communicate in Spanish.
Our instructors are local Guatemalans who are experienced teachers. We also offer free English courses to individuals in our local community as well as scholarships.
Volunteer with micro-development projects in Quetzaltenango.

"After six weeks studying El Queztal, I give it high marks. The atmosphere was professional and yet familial. The teachers were knowledgeable and interested in the success of the student. I had three teachers (changing every two weeks), and found all three to be capable of meeting my needs. Each of course had strengths and weaknesses. Since I had studied the grammar system fairly extensively before coming, I was interested in practice rather than new lessons. The teachers were flexible and tried to work with my desires...
