Job Description:
Job Duties:
• Maintain up to 30 contact hours per week with students, which may include up to 20 hours of teaching, and 10 hours of teaching-related activities, including but not limited to Conversational English Corners, demo lessons, office hours, parents meetings and student outings, some of which might be organized on evenings or weekends but will be informed and discussed with teachers in advance.
• Teaching ESL courses to different groups of students in grade 7 and grade 9, up to 20 hours per week
HR-JD-ESL-Middle School
• Participate in up to 10 hours per week of professional development, class observation,
presentations, student activities, and informal “English corners.”
• Oversee weekly testing, formal examinations and guiding learners through both academic
essays and formal presentations.
• Executing the English curriculum as prescribed by EIC Academy
• Meet all marking deadlines and be able to compose academic report to management
Requirements:
Job Skills Required:
• CELTA/Trinity TESOL certified or of equivalence (preferred)
• Native speaker of English
• 3+ years of ESL teaching experience
• Proven track record of achievement at both the academic and professional level; • Highly organized, able to offer detailed feedback about each student upon request;
• Passionate about the profession of teaching, the English language, and motivating students;
• Culturally sensitive and empathetic towards the students’ prior experiences;
• Adaptable, able to accept and implement specific feedback on his/her teaching
