Program Description
The program is ideal for students in biology, ecology, environmental science or related fields. Students of sustainable development, Latin American studies, or international relations will find this program relevant to their degree as well. Anyone looking to improve their Spanish language skills will have the opportunity through this project as well. The program is structured like an internship, so it is a great resume builder!
The internship program includes the design and development of a project of conservation or sustainable development:
Design and development of a vertical garden
Native species reforestation specialist
Mapping the CDS property and developing of maps and informative materials
Determination of asexual/sexual reproduction techniques for native trees
Specialist in Agro-forestry
Identification of native ornamental plant species to attract local fauna
Environmental interpretation specialist
Trail and sign designer
Orchid phenology and conservation specialist
Butterfly reproduction specialist
Specialist in water quality using bioindicators
Specialist in fauna monitoring using camera traps
Practice in biology and engineering forestry
Growing insects as food for frogs
Sustainable construction with non-conventional materials
Specialist in evaluation of terrestrial entomofauna
Specialist in orchids and pollination

Must be physically fit and accustomed to work in the field.
Ideal to bring a laptop in order to research. however, if no possible we have some available to lend you.
