It is situated in the buffer zone of the Yanachaga Chemillén National Park in Oxapampa Province, which includes the Oxapampa Ashaninka Yanesha Biosphere Reserve.

CDS is made up of 15.5 hectares of cloud forest, two streams, riverine forests, a reforested area, and areas for cultivation of local fruits.

Our goals:

Reduce forest fires in our area by spreading knowledge of alternative agricultural practices

Promote sustainable life and awareness by providing a model that others can replicate

Establish a baseline for assessing the quality of forests and water in the area and then monitor conditions using data collected by volunteers

Produce native and organic crops by creating a market for these products and encouraging local farmers to do the same

Bridge the gap between economically viable and environmental practices by providing an example

Join forces with the next generation of global leaders in the field of ecologically sustainable human progress
