Doctorate of Tools and Processes

Program Description

The Doctorate of Tools and Processes is a three-year or four-year programme taught in English language at the Faculty of Technology (FT) of Tomas Bata University in Zlín. Doctoral studies in this course are aimed at research work and at independent activities in the field of R&D with significant use of computer technology and modern equipment for the analysis of processes which take place during processing of polymer products and for the design of tools for their processing. Among the key subjects to be passed belong: Production Machines and Devices, Science of Metal Materials, Engineering Technology, Instruments for Polymer Processing, etc.

Duration: 6 or 8 semesters (3 or 4 academic years)
Mode of study: Full-time/part-time
Degree obtained: Doctoral (abbr. “Ph.D.”)
Tuition fee: approx. EUR 2,410 per 1 academic year
Scholarship: First-year students may be awarded the TBU PhD scholarship amounting up to CZK 96,000 (approx. EUR 3,560) per academic year (full-time students only). Starting from second year, the total annual amount is based on the student’s academic performance.
