The Autumn Quest - April to May

Autumn Quest in South Africa has warm days and cool nights. Summer clothing with extra jackets, thermal and fleece blanket will do. For most of autumn, the Warriors travel to warmer areas up north, keeping us away from Base Camp 70% of the time. Building on the experiences of the summer quest, the warriors have three major activities to undertake during the autumn quest.
Support for the competitors of the ten day Expedition Africa Adventure Race takes them into rural Africa where they face the physical and mental challenges of sleepiness nights, endless hours of off-loading and reloading bicycles, boats and resupply boxes. Shortly after this they relocate to Ponta do Oura in Mozambique for the two-week ocean open water diving course. The autumn quest is rounded off with a once in a lifetime seven-day wilderness hike in the northern Kruger National Park.
EQ Fitness (Toltec) Deliver a fully developed EQ
An ongoing practical application of principles and values work shopped in the Summer Quest. The full Toltec course may be offered if sufficient numbers warrant it.

Engagement with the natural world
Continuing with the eco positive attitude set in the summer quest, the autumn quest has as its highlight, the seven-day guided wilderness hike in the Kruger National Park. This is another once in a life time opportunity and an opportunity to fully experience the raw and untamed African bush from a safe but unsophisticated position, on foot and self-contained. Plans are in progress to include an interaction with the elephant and rhino sanctuary where you would complement the African conservation experience. Practical permaculture

Winter Quest - June to August

It's winter! It's really cold! Tracksuits, thermal underwear, beanies, jackets and an extra warmer blanket are now necessary. The winter quest has a number of highlights, which provide further challenges for the Warriors. Although temperatures drop at this time of year most of the activities take place where conditions range from balmy to mildly chilly. Off shore sailing, horse riding, hiking, interesting and stimulating cultural experiences and an intensive community service building program compliment the many shorter experiences that the Warriors are engaged in during the winter quest. Without doubt, the off shore sailing and the community service project have a lasting impact on the Warriors.
EQ Fitness (Toltec) Deliver a fully developed EQ
Moving into the winter quest, the relevance and application of the Toltec principles become more entrenched and compliment the holistic development of the Warriors.
Adventure Pursuits
Ocean Sailing, Adventure Racing, Apartheid Museum in Johannesburg, Caving, Zip Lining and Gorge swings, Chain Ladder on Drakensberg Amphitheatre Trail, Cradle Of Humankind, Cycling & Cycle Expeditions, Horse Riding, Orange Wine Tour, Natal Sharks Board, Sudwala Caves, Crystals Crawl, U-Shaka Marine World experience, Tugela Falls.

A bricks and mortar commitment to construct a valued structure for a lasting impact on a community (e.g. Classroom, Toilets, Community Centre). Ongoing local community service commitments, animal shelters, old age home visits and engagement with disabled children. Fund Raising for selected charities.
Engagement with the natural world
Living an Eco positive life style, developing Eco positive attitudes. A hands on rhino and elephant experience.

Spring Quest Activities - August to October

Spring is fresh, and a mixture of the seasons, stay prepared with your clothing... Again we are only at Base Camp for about 15% of the Quest, and now we move over towards the magical and popular Cape Province. Nothing can prepare one for the majestic presence of Table Mountain, the white sandy beaches and the radiant blue ocean along the Cape coastline. A South African experience would be incomplete without a visit the fairest Cape of them all. The spring quest presents both a celebration of South African and opportunities to continue to test the Warrior resolve through outdoor challenges but tempered with unique cultural and social experiences. Imagine a five day hike on the infamous Wild Coast of Southern Africa, a more relaxing tour of the Garden Route, interaction with the Knysna elephants, a visit to the historic Robben island, a tour of the Cape wine lands, a four day extreme Orange River rafting experience and the adrenalin rush of a skydive.
EQ Fitness (Toltec) Deliver a fully developed EQ
Moving into the spring quest, the relevance and application of the Toltec principles become more entrenched and compliment the holistic development of the Warriors. Should new participants join in sufficient numbers, a full course will be offered.

What a great program. Warriors is something out of this world. During my time there I have grown and learned more than I ever thought I could, while also going on tons of amazing adventures. Going on Warriors is the best decision I have ever made and I could not be more grateful for the experiences that I've had. Warriors is truly life changing, and I could not recommend this program more to anyone.

I could not recommend this programme more to anyone. Wow! Where do I start... Unfortunately due to an unrelated issue I was not able to complete the full year at Warriors. However if I could have I most certainly would have!

Firstly I should let you know I did not fully sign up to the course on my own. Some gental persuasion from my parents was needed. I wanted to travel Asia or America and do what every other teenager does. I agreed with my parents I would do the first quest and then head off and do my own thing. Having said that I knew I was in it for the long run after my first week. As the quest went on there were times where I just wanted to go home but now being back home all I want to do is go back to Warriors. It's a life changing programme which will give you a different view on anything and everything. It's an amazing experience and ticks half your bucket list. It's helps you grow mentally, emotionally and physically. I've made international brothers and sisters who I know when I see again we will pick up right were we left off. If you want to find who your are, the right path to take, have a truly incredible time and learn more than you could ever imagine then Warriors is right for you. The staff are so loving and would literally move mountains for you. If it were not for Warriors I would be sitting at home playing Playstation still but now my life is moving in a very positive way through the determination and realisation I can do anything if I put my mind to it which I solely learnt at Warriors. Warriors made me realise there's more to life than popularity, partying and drama. Warriors is the best thing that ever happend to me and will be to you too if you sign up. Book in for the full programme because once your there you won't want to leave.
I Miss the whole family hugely.

Warriors is unlike anything out there. The things that I learnt whilst I was at Warriors have changed my perception of life. It has made me look at things in a completely different way. This is all done because of the brilliant team that runs Warriors. Having said this, it's not all fun and games. To get to the point where one can grow and mature is not easy. As a result, your time at Warriors will be filled with moments that make you just want to sit down and give up. To throw in the towel. It will seem that there is no way forward. There is.

I have made friends on Warriors that will last for eternity. For me, this is because you get to know each other on such an intimate level. You see each other cry, laugh and everything else. If this still doesn't tempt you to find out more please feel free to contact me. (maxfosh@hotmail.com)

I have not been asked to write this however, I think it is the least I can do to give back to an establishment that has literally changed my whole being.
