GLobal Education Camp

Program Description

The Global Education Camp 2016( GEC2016) ,11th July to 21th August 2016 ,will bring together young Togolese and international volunteers to learn more about different cultures and global awareness.
3 cities (2weeks/city) : Lomé, Noepe, Badou Targeting 300 young people.
The selected cities hardly benefit from any public support for development; therefore this activity is the only organized event of this kind for youths during summer.

Highlights

Attractions offered free of charge:
• Trip to the most beautiful waterfall of TOGO in Badou, the Afloa falls
• Visit of traditional priest and alternative medicine
• Visit to chief of villages to hear about Tales of the communities

Qualifications

As a volunteer you can chose to carry various task programs involving children; teaching English and cultural understanding to
young Learners (aged 09‐ 15) and promoting healthy behaviors through sports clubs,teaching global awareness topics.
One of the great topics discussed is the spreading of conflicts in Africa today and how to
become a Peace Builders starting from your community.
You can also be ivolved in community sensitization on chirldren rights and on prevention against Malaria and HIV.

What`s Included

The main activities will be:
Global Awareness activities with the help of volunteers from all around the world.
Teaching English as a mean for international communication and discovering more on the internet.
Hosting guest speakers from various local backgrounds. Cultural Diversity Fair
We aim to instill in the youths who will become the future African leaders the importance of including their community development in their goals.
Therefore,selected disadvantaged youths mixed with youths from slightly better homes play and work together during the camp.
