Children's Center
Program Description
Be an enthusiastic and energetic volunteer with the important Children’s Centre in Siem Reap. These are underprivileged children who have not received a great deal of affection or love and you will be a huge force of positivity as you help them along to a brighter future.
Each day you will spend with our Volunteer Coordinators who will assist you as you go through your daily tasks. You will have the evenings and nights to explore as you find hidden gems, tasty markets, and local Khmer eateries. Even enjoy a pint on Pub Street.
Our volunteers will be immersed in Cambodian life as they participate in fun activities such as helping with the vegetable garden, instructing the children, playing games with the kids, cooking in our outdoor kitchen, and even playing nurse to minor injuries.
Start Dates
While you can join this program throughout the year, this particular project always begins on a Monday and so you will need to be in Siem Reap on the Saturday before.
Donation
Volunteers interested in this project must bring a minimum of $150 to donate to the center. This donation is not included in the program price. Half of your donation is for the management and staff of the Children’s Centre and the other half is for purchasing necessary items such as building materials, swings, clothing, books, and food.
