Hands on Teaching Volunteer Internship
Program Description
If you’re an education major, you can get involved with a teaching volunteer internship at one of our schools. A Beacon of Hope Uganda teaching volunteer internship placement can be in primary or secondary school.
Gaining real hands on work experience in education, getting exposed to different teaching methodologies, and experiencing culture and adventure tours are some of the benefits.
As a volunteer or intern you can assist local teachers in promotion of learning in the classroom, help with curriculum development, implementing teaching strategies, conduct educational outreach initiatives and conducting after class programs.
The placement will provide practical classroom experience to further your career goals in education and it requires a minimum stay of 8 weeks of teaching practice in a local school.
You’ll be teaching a wide range of students from 3-17– all excited and ready to learn. This teaching volunteer internship is suitable for anyone who enjoys or wants to work with children and youth in a school setup.
If a teaching internship requires completing a student teaching semester, our program can be customized to meet your college/university’s requirements.
We shall have an orientation day upon arrival and you’ll meet your fellow teaching interns, before starting your placement.
