USAC Norway: Oslo
Program Description
Study abroad in Oslo and enjoy all of the outdoor activities and excursions in the surrounding areas. This city is surrounded by forests and fjords and there are fun activities all year round. Courses at the University of Oslo are instructed in English and this program allows you to study abroad for a year or a semester. Courses at the university include Law, Education, Gender Studies, Nordic Languages, Medicine, Natural Sciences, and Scandinavian Studies, among others.
Our program offers an Introductory Norwegian Language course for 60 hours or an intensive Level 1 Norwegian Language course for 84 hours. This will be in addition to course languages but is included in the program fees. While English is widely spoken, we recommend enrolling in a language course since you will be able to be immersed more effectively into the local culture. We provide an orientation to the Oslo region and the university. We also organize field trips so that you can really explore all that Norway has to offer.
