UNE Tangier
Program Description
The University of New England campus in Tangier is housed within the campus of the American School of Tangier, which is the oldest American school in Morocco. Centrally located, the campus is a short walk to downtown, the main beach, and the major cultural activities the city has to offer. This gives students the chance to study while being immersed in the vibrant and exotic culture of Morocco. Tangier—although traditionally renowned as an international hub for artists, writers and travelers—is now considered a major driver of economic and cultural growth in the region. The famous Moroccan cities of Casablanca, Fez and Marrakesh are only a few hours away.
The campus consists of two buildings—one for academic programming and the other for student and staff housing—both built to reflect Morocco’s famous traditional architecture. The academic building, although accommodating a wide variety of course offerings, is fully equipped with state-of-the-art science labs. Meals are provided at an on-site café and are carefully crafted daily to highlight fresh and local ingredients. Students also have access to the swimming pool and basketball courts at The American School of Tangier.

Highlights
Morocco is a cultural crossroads, where Europe, Africa and the Middle East meet to form a truly unique national identity. Equally as a diverse as its cultural influences is the country’s geography. In Morocco vast and expansive desert collides with the Atlas Mountains. The Atlantic and the Mediterranean meet in Tangier’s backyard at the Straight of Gibraltar. Spain is right across the straight—which only takes 40 min to cross on a high-speed ferry! From there you have access to our Seville campus by a short ride bus ride and to the rest of Europe by bus, rail or one of many budget European airlines. What`s Included
