Summer Service Internship Program

Program Description

Highlights

-Teaching English or managing after school sports programs for young people.
-Organizing summer camps for children in underserved communities.
-Aiding environmental education programs and eco-tourism initiatives.
-Teaching French in a rural village school.

Qualifications

-Must be 18 years old or older at the time of application.
-Must reside in North America as a citizen, permanent resident or holder of an international student visa at a North American college or university at the time of application.
-Must be of strong physical and mental health to live in a developing country for 6 weeks.
-Possess strong writing and communication skills.
-Maintain a commitment to service, cultural sensitivity and AUA’s mission.
-Commit to giving at least one community presentation (two for Mosaic Grant recipients) upon returning to the United States.

What`s Included

The program fee of $3,875 includes housing for six weeks, transportation to and from internship sites, insurance, some meals and cultural excursions. Airfare and personal expenses are not included. Please inquire for more information on this program.
