Program Description

Institute of International Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University in Prague offers four interdisciplinary Master’s Degree Programmes taught in English. These programmes are coordinated under the label "Prague Area Studies" (PRAREAS) and focused on distinctive areas: the countries of Eurasia and Central, East and South East Europe, the German-speaking countries, European Union and North America. All of the offered programmes (Balkan, Eurasian and Central European Studies; Central European Comparative Studies; European Studies; Transatlantic Studies) are designed with two academic years long curicullum.

Students are offered interdisciplinary knowledge in the chosen specialization area, encompassing history, political development, economics, culture and society, thus ensuring well-varied applicability.
