Peter the Great Saint-Petersburg Polytechnic University has a long-standing and successful history over 100 years where a great deal of important discoveries and inventions have been made. SPbPU has recently become the "National Research University" — a recognized Russian and international leader in the field of higher engineering and economic education. Nowadays, it is the leading university of Russia with over than 30 000 students and rapidly increasing number of foreign students.
SPbPU provides a wide range of courses for international students with 49 different bachelor's degree programs, 200 master's degree programs, 90 PhD programs, and 90 doctorate programs. A number of non-degree and international educational programs are also offered. Today the SPb Polytechnic University structure includes: 11 Institutes, more than 100 departments and 120 R&E laboratories; a big number of research centers, innovation laboratories and a science park, fundamental library, student campus, medical center, modern sports center, concert halls. Accomodation: International students are provided with double accommodation in a two-room apartment with shared facilities and a kitchen in the comfortable student dormitory. All the apartments are equipped with a bed, a bedside table, a desk, chairs, a wardrobe, curtains, and bed linen. There is also an electric cooker, a refrigerator, a table, a microwave in the kitchen. There is a free wi-fi zone in the dormitory lobbies. Location: The campus of Saint-Petersburg Polytechnic University is located in the north-west district of the city, very close to underground (subway). You can easily get to the center of the city using undeground within 20 minutes. The nearest underground station is 5-7 minutes walk from the student dormitory.
