Founded in October 1997, Terra Lingua USA is a non-profit organization specializing in cultural and educational opportunities for high school aged students worldwide. Our vision is to promote global awareness one student at a time.

We are represented in the United States by an experienced network of local and state coordinators who work in cooperation with students, host families, and local high schools to ensure quality programs. We are a team of people with a sincere desire to bring the world closer together through student exchange. We are former exchange students, foreign language teachers, and host families.

Our Mission
The Mission of Terra Lingua USA is to provide quality international exchange experiences in an effort to promote global understanding and experiential education to people worldwide.
To fulfill this mission, Terra Lingua USA shall

- Conduct all programs with integrity in a non-discriminatory manner
- Partner only with organizations, international partners, and staff that share our goals and values.

Our International Partners
International partners are crucial to our program's success and Terra Lingua USA is proud to work with the best partners worldwide. They support us in providing students who wish to develop cultural understanding between countries.

We carefully screen our international partners to ensure experience in the industry that they can provide us with quality students and offer the support we require to run a rewarding program. Through annual agreements we are confident that our strict standards are being met. Many of our partners have been a part of our family since we began in 1997.

Our Accreditation

CSIET
The Council on Standards for International Educational Travel (CSIET), established in 1984, is a not-for-profit organization that oversees quality international educational travel and exchange. It establishes standards for organizations operating international educational travel and exchange programs at the high school level, monitors compliance with those standards, and disseminates information regarding international educational travel organizations.
On the basis of materials submitted and reviewed annually, the Council on Standards for International Educational Travel grants full listing to Terra Lingua USA in the 2014-2015 Advisory List. The CSIET certification mark certifies that this organization complies with the standards set forth in the Council Standards for International Educational Travel Programs.

US Department of State
Terra Lingua USA is also a designated secondary school sponsor for the J visa exchange student program
