USAC China: Shanghai
Program Description
Students who are interested in exploring the bustling business atmosphere in East Asia should join our Shanghai program. This setting will allow you to learn Mandarin while honing your skills in the business world. In addition to challenging and useful courses on business and language, students will also go to on cultural excursions and trips to exhibitions, museums, and even night clubs.
In the course of one semester, students will learn a full year of language study. Other courses cover International Business. If you enroll in a combination of these courses, you can earn up to 18 credits. We also provide the opportunity for students to enroll in an internship. This program can be taken for a semester or a full year.
The summer program in Shanghai is broken up into two sessions of 5 weeks. These can be taken individually or together for a total of 10 weeks. In 5 weeks, you will be able to learn one semester of language study while 10 weeks will allow you to study a year of material. We also provide an Introduction to Chinese course that is for 2 credits and is less intensive.
Students who attend the Professional Development Internship program will be able to enroll in a 10 week program with a 6 credit internship. Students may even be able to add electives. This internship will allow you to network while learning about the Chinese business environment.
This immersive program will allow you to go on field trips and be a part of the local and vibrant campus life.
