Program Description
The 4-week Winter Service-Learning and French language program is a unique combination of academic study (French language course) and experiential learning (volunteer work in the community) allowing a deep insight in French society. The program includes:
-45 hours of French language
-45 hours of Service-learning (a course on Institutions in society + tutorials reflecting on the experience). At the end of the program, the student receives 6 credits and and a Volunteer passport, which an evidence of validation for Service-Learning,
The volunteering activities range from health care, language tutoring, humanitarian or cultural activities and sustainable development. The “Volunteer Passport”, records volunteering experiences and describes the missions and skills acquired, thus giving volunteers a definite edge when looking for a career.
-Students maximize their stay by living in homestay families (breakfast & dinner).
-Excursions in the most inspiring historical sites of the region
