Program Description

We offer a 2,3 or 4 week work experience for teenagers and adults at our language school and farm.
The programme includes english class in the mornings ,work on the farm doing various tasks either in the garden or with animals or general handy man work around the farm.You will practice your English throughout the day meeting other fellow travellers either in the classroom situation or on the job work experience.
We take you on various cultural and touristic excursions at weekends or evenings in the local area.you may like to travel further around Ireland at weekends at your own accord.
No experience is necessary except to have a good sense of humour, a willingness to try new work and a commitment to speak only english at all times if you are able.
Our programme is open throughout the year except the month of July here we offer english language summer programmes to teenagers .
We have hostel type accommodation and you are invited to help around the house with various house chores including cooking and cleaning.We grow most of our own food here where possible and no chemicals are used.we also produce our own honey ,fruit,eggs and meat.we are developing the farm to eventually have it as an open farm but we are constantly making the farm a better place for everyone who visits us.

Highlights

We will take you on cultural visits to Lough Gur which is a 6000 year old settlement and stone circle .
We also take you to Old Irish ways museum where you can see and listen to how our predecessors lived .
We also take you to Clare glens nature walk ,pitch and put course and glenstall abbey school.
You will be given a walking tour of Limerick city where you can visit King johns castle,st Mary's cathedral,limerick museum and art gallery and the hunt museum.

Qualifications

There are no qualifications needed for this programme except a basic level of english and a great sense of adventure ,fun and good humour.

What`s Included

We provide 2 hours of English classes each day in the mornings and in the afternoons we offer 3 hours of work experience on the farm.
All normal food is supplied for your stay as well as accommodation in bunk bed bedrooms.
We will collect you in Limerick city railway or bus station.
We speak only English throughout the day, so everyone is expected to try their best.
We take you on several short excursions in the local area plus you have weekends if you would like to travel further yourselves.
We have experienced English language teachers to work with you to improve your level.
On the farm we will explain and demonstrate the various tasks you can help us with during your stay.
