Program Description

At Ailola Quito we’re proud to be able to offer more than 100 amazing volunteering projects in Ecuador. Participate in one of the volunteering projects in the fields of society, education, rural and indigenous needs, environment, and wild animals rescue.

Social volunteering projects
e.g.
- Take care of poor children
- Work at homes for poor people who come from country to urban centers
- Help child street workers
- Take care of orphaned & abandoned children

Educational volunteering projects
e.g.
- In primary schools, work as an English assistant, or do drawing & craft projects with the pupils
- In secondary school, work as an assistant in English, mathematics, marketing, creative design, tech-drawing, psychology, scientific research, art or IT
- At tech colleges or Universities in Ecuador (minimum 6-months required)

Rural & indigenous volunteering projects
e.g.
- Work on organic farms or at small factories which produce milk products or others
- Contribute to the development of eco-tourism projects

Environmental volunteering projects
e.g.
- Take part in environmental protection projects
- Fight against deforestation & the introduction of foreign flora
- Contribute to the expansion of botanical gardens
- Participate in scientific researches

Wild animal rescue center projects
e.g.
- Care for stray animals
- Help care for injured animals
- Feed sick animals in the care of animal rescue centers
- Develop rescue center activities, learn to prepare food & medicine

Qualifications

- Min. 18 years of age
- Min. 2 weeks involvement to volunteering project
- Volunteer Visa if you stay longer than 3 months (we can help you)
- Interest & passion for the local culture & volunteering abroad
- Application payment & monthly contribution for food & accommodation, amounts depend on organization you volunteer with. For more infos, contact us.
- Intermediate language level (B1) of Spanish – volunteer after your Spanish course with us!
- Advanced language level in Spanish for certain organizations
- International health insurance, incl. liability & accident insurance
- Experience report with min. 500 words after you completed volunteering project & the right to publish it
