Volunteer Teaching Assistants

There are many children in Ghana without the necessary resources to learn English, even though Ghana is an English speaking nation. We are looking for volunteers to be placed in communities that do not have enough teachers to instruct the number of children.

This is an ideal opportunity for those interested in being immersed in local cultures while building up experience with teaching. This also provides students with many opportunities for employment that might otherwise be lacking.

Students will have the chance to learn English properly while volunteers will be able to learn all about the local community. Volunteers can also assist with arts, math, and music. If volunteers are fluent in French, there is the opportunity to teach this language.

Volunteers will assist local teachers or may even lead classes of their own. The Ghana Education Service provides the syllabus which will be given to volunteers after orientation. Volunteers can request to be placed in high schools, middle schools, primary schools, or pre-schools.
