Volunteer placements in Ireland with Lattitude Canada

Overall rating: 0 based on 0 reviews

Program Description

Schools Assistant
Volunteers placed in a boarding school setting will be responsible for assisting with daily duties including helping with homework, after-school activities, supervision of bedtime, waking students up in the morning, and weekend trips. Volunteers may also be involved with assisting/coaching sports since many Irish boarding schools place a focus on sports. Volunteers may help with administrative duties or support students in classes and work with departments including drama and art. Please inform the boarding school of any talents or interests you have so these can be used in activities or in the classroom.

Caring Assistant
Volunteers have a variety of opportunities to work with the homeless or with individuals with disabilities. The host organization will train volunteers and even provide the chance to earn a professional certificate.

Outdoor Education
Volunteers placed in the limited opportunities for outdoor education centres will be acting as Camp Instructors. These camps accommodate students from 12 to 25 years of age and from a range of economic and social backgrounds. Activities include team building, bouldering, archery, ropes courses, and ziplining.

Ireland is beautiful and dynamic with a strong communal environment.
Volunteers will be placed with outdoor education camps, as care assistants, and within boarding schools.

You must be finished with high school (but not necessarily graduated) and be between the ages 17-25.
