Volunteer in Beautiful Ecuador

Program Description

We offer volunteer opportunities in four areas:

1) ANIMAL CARE AND RESCUE: Work at a rescue center for Amazonian species (Amazon Wildlife Program)
2) CONSERVATION: Work at a farm learning about apiculture and sustainability (Bee Farm Program), or at biological stations with scientists and researchers in any of the country's regions, i.e. the Amazon region, the Pacific Coast, the Galapagos or the Sierra (mountain region).
3) EDUCATION: Teach English to kids in Quito.
4) SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT: Work in day care centers in Quito or with communities by the Pacific Coast.

Qualifications

The selection process depends on the program. There are no strict requirements, except for programs working with children in which case a police record of the candidate will be required. For some programs a screening interview might be required.

Volunteer Types

What`s Included

Our programs include:

ACCOMMODATION: in volunteer houses or with local families.
MEALS: some or all meals, depending on the location.
AIRPORT PICK-UP: plus transfer to accommodation.
ORIENTATION & ONSITE SUPPORT: pre-departure orientation, briefing and debriefing of volunteer role and activities, and 24 hour onsite support.
OTHER ACTIVITIES: Hikes, trips and language lessons available.
