This is a social association, offering help to children with limited resources. The main center is in San Pedro, but they also have centers in San Antonio Aguas Calientes, San Miguel Dueñas, and Santo Tomas Milpas Altas. There are several areas:
- health (medical clinic, dental clinic, medical missions, psychology, pharmacy, and laboratory)
- living (construction of cement floors in houses)
- children´s education through sponsorships
- education in health and environment
- microcredit and finance
They cover 16 communities, 5000 benefitted children, and 18,000 benefitting community members.
What could the volunteers do?
- Volunteers can be involved in all areas, and be part of the local community
- The volunteer receives a tour of the whole project, also the different locations, and you can choose which area suits you. There is medical work, education, construction, and field work (conferences in communities).

Highlights
In this project, you will work full days, 8:30 AM till 1 PM and from 2 PM until 5 PM, so it's perfect to combine your volunteering with Spanish lessons before starting the volunteer program, which is a nice way to improve your Spanish but also learn about the Guatemalan culture.Qualifications
A beginner-intermediate Spanish level is helpful (enough to understand the instructions).To improve your Spanish, we suggest online language lessons with a private Guatemalan teacher: www.learnspanishonline.gt.
