Program Description

Embark in the great journey of service to humanity, adventure, learning and discovery. At SOLS India, we welcome volunteers who are passionate to building India’s tomorrow. Everyone can make a difference contributing with their own passion, skills, knowledge and ideas through volunteerism. So, do you want to live like a local and make an impact on unprivileged youth in India? Then, come and teach with us!

We provide free education in rural and impoverished areas to make an impact on unprivileged youth. We teach them English, IT and Life skills and hope to give them a better future. Volunteers with this program will be able to teach English for a wide range of abilities and ages. Volunteers will help to boost local English conversation and comprehension skills. We welcome everyone who is able to speak and understand English. No prior teaching experience is required!

We provide 3 basic meals, accommodation and internal travel expenses.

This project is suitable for those:
- Passionate about community development and helping the underprivileged
- Keen to experience India as a local instead of a tourist during a trip
- Keen to develop personal skills and have a life-changing experience

Volunteers will be able to explore the wide range of exciting opportunities available:
- Teaching English and training students in leadership and character skills (life skills)
- Assisting in managing the different departments in the centers
- Place for own initiative to run projects or organize activities
- Go for exciting trips and tours

Qualifications

- High skills in spoken and written English as well as English comprehension
- Interested in teaching the Science Of Language English System
- Able to communicate well with different groups in community & rural settings
- Demonstrated interest in education, NGOs and poverty alleviation issues
- Able to live in local communities
- Able to follow the SOLS curriculum / teaching method
