This project is for parents of limited resources. It´s a daycare where the (single) parent can bring their child while they work. The kids receive pre-kinder lessons, behavior training and recreational time. The project foresees in breakfast, snack, lunch, and snack. Parents only pay a symbolic amount of Q100 per month. At the moment there are 15 kids registered, they have a capacity of 25 kids. All kids are between 3 months and 5 years old.
As a volunteer you will:
- Helping taking care of the kids (young & active)
- Playing, doing creative activities (arts & crafts), dancing
- Eventually, teach them some English
- Help in the kitchen to prepare the meals & helping the kids eating
- Accompany the kids on an excursion

Highlights
In this project, you can work from Monday to Friday 8 am till 5 pm but they prefer afternoons, so it's perfect to combine your volunteering with Spanish lessons in the mornings, which is a nice way to improve your Spanish but also learn about the Guatemalan cultureQualifications
A beginner Spanish level is helpful (enough to understand the instructions).To improve your Spanish, we suggest online language lessons with a private Guatemalan teacher.
