Program Description
What is KNGO?
KNGO is a non-governmental organization in Bospo Village, Battambang Province, Cambodia. KNGO was founded in early 2008 as a private, non-profit, neutral, non-prejudiced and non-political organization that works to improve the lives of children and youth through education.
KNGO provides free supplementary education to children and youths in the community in the areas of Khmer literacy, mathematics, English literacy, computer programming, primary health education, community environmental awareness and vocational skills training.
We always need volunteers
We are constantly seeking volunteers to assist our Khmer teachers with our English literacy program. Regardless of whether you have teaching experience or not, the interaction volunteers have with our children makes a huge impact on their development.
If you decide to volunteer, not only will it positively affect the development of our children, but you will gain a rewarding and unforgettable life experience.
Volunteering
There is no cost to volunteer at KNGO. We are a local, grass roots, non-government organization that operates on private donations. We do not ask for any placement fees to volunteer with KNGO, however if you would like to make a donation it would be gratefully accepted.
You are welcome to volunteer for any time period but we would love it if you could spend one month or more here. A longer time period allows you to have a better experience and to learn more about the culture and has been s
