Program Description
Around 450 children in Bospo as well as other nearby villages are supported by KNGO since these children ae unable to afford tutoring and English classes.
Each course is 1 hour and our instructors run 14 English courses every day.
Lessons run from 7 AM to 11 AM and then again from 1 PM to 5 PM.
Volunteers assist local Khmer teachers of English by making use of the ‘Let’s Go’ curriculum provided by KNGO.
KNGO has three full-time instructors, 7 part-time teachers, and the help of generous volunteers to teach local students English. Classes are taken in the local Bospo Primary School in the afternoons as well as other classrooms in the morning on KNGO grounds that were funded and built by volunteers.

Only 15 minutes from Bttambang town, Bospo is surrounded by ricefields, coconut trees, orange orchards and winding rivers. Volunteers at KNGO can immerse themselves in rural Cambodian life in the homestay and get to know the village and surrounding areas via bicycle, moto or tuk tuk.You will get the chance to give back to the local Cambodian village by teaching poor and vulnerable children English and, by doing that, giving them more opportunities for prolonged education and job opportunities as well as feeling empowered and productive in their community.

Previous teaching experience is desired, but not required

What`s Included
KNGO operates a no fee volunteer program however volunteers are responsible for their own food and accommodation. KNGO offers a village homestay in Bospo village, a short walk from our facility. The homestay includes a private room with fan, 3 home cooked Khmer meals per day, purified drinking water, indoor bathroom and toilet with running water.The cost of the home stay is $91 per week or $13 per day depending on how long you wish to stay.
Battambang town is 15 minutes away by moto or 30 minutes by pushbike and has a plenty of accommodation and restaurant options.
