Program Description
The increasing popularity of India as a tourist destination combined with its economic progress has made teaching English a priority in Indian rural schools. English-speaking volunteers are very much in demand.
India’s schools require volunteers to develop their students’ conversational English abilities. As a English & computer Teaching volunteer, you can help without any previous teaching experience and we do not ask you to do a TEFL course. You can volunteer with Kenosis Foundation(KF) during your gap year, career break, or volunteer vacation. You will have an important role to play, working alongside students and colleagues who value the time that you give to them.
Just like children throughout the world, Indian children are fascinated by computers and eager to learn how to use them. Teaching such a useful skill is invaluable, both to individuals and their communities. From developing a better understanding of computers, job opportunities that would not previously have been available present themselves. With IT skills, children also find themselves in a position where they can benefit from all that the worldwide web has to offer.
