Program Description

Parents of children with special needs have struggled with how to best provide for their children in a society that is not as accepting of developmental disabilities. These caring parents lack a lot of institutional support that can make the difference in the positive development of each child. Volunteer with this organization and make a concrete improvement in the lives of both the struggling children and their loving parents.

This organization strives to better the lives of these children by providing quality education that is tailored towards each individual child’s needs. We are very accomplished in identifying the obstacles facing our students with special needs and in helping them achieve healthy, educated lives.

Qualifications

Caregivers do not need to have specific qualifications or experience, although experience with working with people with disabilities will be very useful.
Caregivers must be patient, understanding and full of love for those who are the most vulnerable in society. The main task is to provide our children with the basic care they need (e.g. washing, dressing, feeding, playing etc.)
Caregivers should work with and learn from other members of the staff rather than trying to be completely independent.
The main qualification would be a willingness to adapt to a new environment and provide loving care for the residents.
Basic care work and an open mind is essential to this work.
This could be one of the most memorable experiences of your life.
