Program Description

Double your impact & experience volunteering abroad with a new twist that creates solutions to problems you encounter such as poverty and inadequate education!

How?
Glad you asked!

You will begin by immersing yourself in a project to tutor township youth at Inkululeko, a local non-profit focused on supplemental education. You will also engage in discussions surrounding social responsibility and development challenges, where you will debate and discover the role that South Africans and Americans have in development projects. Using the experience and the discussions, your creativity will be probed and you will work to build an active solution that you can implement at home. Perhaps, you may even collaborate with a team member from another country to implement your solution!

This new way of thinking about volunteering abroad will eventually become the norm. You can say you were part of the beginning!

You may be asking, what types of projects will I bring home?
This is of course individualized, but the projects may range from a simple change in consumer behavior to a social enterprise program model that can be honed and launched.
