Program Description

Our Spanish and Volunteer Program is a fantastic opportunity to experience a new culture and language, while helping others. Surround yourself with members of the local community and help make a difference in the city of Buenos Aires.

Our Volunteer program is available all year round. All students enrolled in an Elebaires Spanish course are eligible. Normally, a time commitment of at least 4 weeks is needed to partake in the Volunteer Program. Volunteers are required to have an Intermediate level of Spanish.

Social Project:
This Volunteer Scheme offers a home and recreational aid for children with varied experiences of maltreatment. Volunteering here would normally last a minimum of 3 weeks. As a foreign volunteer assistant you would have to aid the full-time carers with daily household tasks; entertain the children, and of course there would be plenty of time to practice your Spanish. Hours: 2-3 hours, 3-4 times a week.

Ecological Project:
Volunteer on an Eco-Farm with an independent small group of farmers and producers. If you are interested in sustainable development, environmental conservation and alternative energy sources then this is the perfect opportunity to get involved! This volunteer projects involves physical work so the volunteer would have to be prepared to get hands-on on the farm. Volunteers need to have flexible hours, and must be willing to travel across Argentina as the farm is located in Mendoza!
Minimum of 4 weeks on the farm.

The children age from 4 to 16 years old, and your main role is to provide assistance to the permanent coaches, help with the daily tasks involved in training, as well as arrange games to make sure the children are having fun. The majority of the children come from unpriviledged backgrounds and deprived areas of the city, but these sport teams give them the opportunity to escape and enjoy themselves in a positive way.
